Head of Development Futures (£45-£53k negotiable)

Bond is seeking a dynamic and authoritative individual to develop our Futures initiative. Using futures tools and approaches you will help NGOs to adapt, innovate and make better strategic decisions. The external environment of International development is changing rapidly: the needs, the solutions, the actors and the funding for development. For civil society organisations, these changes are likely to trigger new partnerships, new organisational structures, new funding and business models and even entirely new understandings of ‘development’. Bond’s futures programme applies futures and foresight tools and approaches to help Bond members work through the implications of a rapidly changing operating environment – and most importantly enable them to develop and implement innovative new solutions and strategies in response.

Whether you developed your experience in the private sector, consulting or the third sector is not important; what matters to us is that you bring a passion for helping organisations become future-fit. We are an exciting organisation on the cutting edge of the sector and have doubled in size in the last three years in order to serve our members better.

In this role, you will be able to apply your skills as a futures specialist, project manager and facilitator to support INGOs’ use of strategic foresight and their ability to respond to the challenges of a changing world.
